At least he is in based on his on the field achievements. If he is in, Pete Rose should def. be in the baseball hall of fame.

I think there should be some sign or banner in the stadium honoring Cannon. He's only Heisman winner and only person w/ number retired. There needs to be some type of ring of honor with his name on it somewhere inside the stadium.

He was actually elected to HOF years back but didn't attend ceremony (had other commitments at that time). Yes, this is his second election, but will be his first induction.
