P-51 is #1 for me.
My grandfather flew a P-51 in WW2- He was a character for sure! I have all of his scrap books (my wife is making copies to give one e
me, my brother and 4 cousins- Original goes to my father) -really fascinating and has lotS of pictures of his plane. Ths Part that I really like is the section that he labled pictures all of his squadrons ensignias - some of them are awesome. His was named "bat-outa-hell". I've read the copies of his mission logs - and he won a Silver Star.
