The riding in between cars at bumper to bumper, 5 o'clock traffic makes me irate

Lane splitting is necessary to keep a angry texting commuter from crunching you. So is speeding up to get out of a cluster of cars. Bikes are 10x more fun than a car. And 30x more risky.

I don’t mind the “in between the cars thing”. All that does is get more people out of the way and on their way, even if it’s not you. A MAJOR issue is when they group up on the interstate, like two in a lane, across all lanes. They typically don’t drive fast so you can’t pass them, they don’t get out of fast lane, can’t tailgate them bc you’ll be surrounded by a bunch of bikers

Cultured society allows lane filtering and knows the benefits of it. It's backwards US states that made it illegal. Cali at least got with the program and lane filtering is legal there. There are a few others that allow it in stopped/slowed traffic as well.
