I’d be more concerned with septic/colluvial soil. FEMA flood maps are easy to pull up online. Easements would be my next concern.
Depending how far is “far”, Cumberland Plateau area is nice. Cookeville & Crossville split the difference between Nashville and Knoxville. Farragut is the most desirable suburb of Knoxville.
