Theyre adding card fees here. 2.5-3%. Unless its a national chain store- i.e. globalist.

I had like 2k worth of work done on my wife's car about a year ago and went to pick it up without my wallet. I just stuck my license and credit card in my phone. 3.5% fee on 2k at the Honda dealership. But I got 1% cashback

Plenty of service type jobs charge 2.5-3.5% now too. Tree companies, plumbers etc. I'll just pay cash or debit if I'm able to.

So CBDC with a 3 to 5% usage fee ie tax to the account holder to be able to purchase anything needed to survive.
