Absolutely untrue. My wife is Russian, our best friends are a married couple - the wife is Russian and the husband is Ukrainian. I have spent time in both countries and you have no clue.

Lovely anecdote. As to the Russian elements of it, Nazisim is illegal, persecuted, generally hated and prosecuted aggressively in Russia.

On the other hand, Ukraine has a neo-Nazi problem. Ukraine maintains pro-nazi statues and sights, e.g., Stepan Bandera monument. It leans on on groups of that ilk like its Azov Battalions. That is not to say Ukraine is a Nazi nation. But it has those elements.
