Don’t buy much of it.
Use a instapot, cook about 4 to 6 cups of nice, then cook a pound or so chicken, if you cook the rice second in the chicken water better. Then I put chicken in a big bowl while hot and use a hand blender to chop it up as much as possible and add to the rice, then add in a bag of frozen peas, carrots, beans, (mixed veggies) from the microwave and you have instant dog food. (Sometimes we just use Costco Ro rotisserie chicken or something too)
You can use turkey, chicken, beef venison or really any meat just add it to the rice and mixed vegetables. You can freeze it in little bags or so if u want too. It’s good for about 3/4 days in fridge.
I heat it up in microwave, you can add liquid vitamins if you want and bam that’s it.
Probably not cheaper but my dog’s allergies, etc all went away and they are never sick now

Hey TutHill, what are you giving for calcium?
Omega-3s?
Zinc? Iron? Iodine?
That's a good start but it's far from nutritionally adequate.
