Don't throw good money after bad. Trade that bad boy in.

Everyone i know who had an engine swap has wished they'd have just traded. Exception being a Jeep or some type of classic vehicle.

You're essentially putting $10k in a 10 year old truck. you still have almost 10 years/200k miles on every other part of the truck. And no offense, It's a Dodge.

10k is nothing compared to comparative replacement cost of the overpriced crap out there. If 10k gets him 3 years of usage and he’s left with a more valuable vehicle than its current condition, you do it all the time.
