Odd statement considering the baseball coach is only in his second season and has been to the postseason. Meanwhile, the baseball team has been in the last 10 regionals.

My error is not clarifying the data. I meant to contrast Coach Torino's record to the Men's Baseball teams record over Torino's tenure.

I'm a BIG fan of Jay Johnson, and anticipate many trips to the CWS over the next decade or more.

Here are the stats to compare: (excluding 2020 Covid year)
Torino. 10/10 post-season appearances (100%)
7/10 Super-regional appearances (70%)
4/10 WCWS appearances (40%)

Now looking at the combined records of the last three men's coaches, including CJJ's one and only year:
Laval/Manieri/Johnson - 17/20 post-season appearances (85%)
12/20 Super-regional appearances (60%)
7/20. CWS appearances (35%)

Obviously, I left at out the record of the incomparable GOAT Bergman, with a CWS appearance rate of over 60%. Those were different time.

After looking at the stats, I'm quite impressed with the dominance of LSU baseball and softball, and expect more championships to be added to their resumes.
But for those calling for Coach Torino to be replaced, she has a slightly better record than all the men's coaches since Bertman.

If anyone has any data on Torino's LSU record vs all other current softball coaches over the last decade, that would be interesting info.

Complete idiocy in your "stats". Have you not seen the roster building JJ has done? He was hired in late June 2021 inheriting PM's depleted roster. I don't give a shite, Torina should have her program in a better situation than it's at given her tenure and funding. Her teams are not performing to what she should be at this point. She needs to make some changes to compete at a higher level or move on. JJ will have more meaningful skins on the wall the next 4 seasons while she had a 10+ year advantage on him.
