The sky Islands may have been the most disappointing aspect of the game for me other than the globes and the Thunder islands. Oh, and getting to the wind temple was cool, but it feels like I did that years ago.
Most of the sky areas are the same thing over a different part of the map.

So what was y'all's favorite part of the game? I think my favorite part so far was approaching the Fire Temple (not the temple itself but the approach after diving into Death Mountain). It was my first time in the Depths and I knew frick-all about the Lightroots. And to turn a corner and see this huge ancient building waiting in the darkness with all the heat distortion was freaky as hell. Trying to ration the very few brightbloom seeds I had and wondering how I was gonna get in. Masterfully done.
Although I still haven't been to Lurelin, Eventide, Faron, Akkala, or Gerudo outside the quest route.
