I bought a 2nd hand Hustler commercial mower that currently has 18000+ hours on it with the 25 hp Kawasaki. I can recommend either brands. My next mower will definitely have a Kawasaki engine.

I have a commercial bush hog brand zero turn with a 25 hp kawasaki. I think it's a 2009 model, no idea how many hours on it now, but I regularly cut a couple of pur properties, probably 7 acres total cutting area. I don't know what a new one costs, probably well over 8k, but it will last.

I just bought a hustler raptor xd with this engine. Beautiful mower and ride.
As anither poster mentioned, buy something that has a dealer close and avoid buying from big box stores.

Buy the lowest end commercial Hustler if you have the money. If not, the Raptor is not a bad choice. Also, as others have stated, Gravelys and Scags are solid options.
