Same thing happened to me. Cracked molar, unbearable pain. Went in and he referred me to get a root canal. I told him to just pull it and I'll deal with it later(very back top molar) and he was like "Wellllll...we don't like to pull teeth unless we have to.

Went to another dentist a few days later and he pulled it, no issue.

dealing with this now on a molar in which the filling and part of the tooth broke off

thankfully it didn’t expose the nerves

dentist just filled it but also told me that there’s not much layer between the filling and the nerves so i might feel some sensitivity

if it gets worse than i suppose root canal is next step

im just really happy there was no pain involved

that type of pain was unbearable last time out and don’t ever want to deal with that ever
