1) its not 2024 yet, so how can McDs fail to meet a goal if time frme not achieved
2) since he is extorting McDs, then i would imagine McDs would blackball this company and use someone from the other 10% market share.....
3) and most important of all.... what does race even matter in this instance....

Byron Allen is shady as hell and all up in politicians pocketbooks.
He absolutely derailed the Tegna/Standard General merger. They were set to merge(really a buyout) pending FCC approval and then letters came out from Pelosi and Elizabeth Warren to the head of the FCC telling them to NOT let the merger go through.
This all happened shortly after both Pelosi and Warren attended a fundraising party at Allen's house where he gave both of them a hefty donation. Neither Tegna or Standard General have a station in either of their districts.
Allen has been trying to buy Tegna for years and I think he's hoping the shares drop enough in price for him to just take it over. He's already taken over some smaller media companies.
