He should go regardless. There’s likely a very slim chance his wife would be open to reconciliation anymore. It’s time for him to be a man of action, regardless of what she decides.
Either way it will help him figure out how to work on his own relationship issues. And that will help him in the future in all his close relationships…even with his daughters.
How do I know this? I’ve been exactly where he is. I had to realize I couldn’t change her. So I worked on myself. Mentally, spiritually, emotionally and physically. Ten years later I now have a wonderful new wife. And I’m a much better man for her. And for my kids.
