this kids recruitment is far from over.. if we miss out on someone like jones or mingo (both of these guys are pretty much lsu locks) then he will moer than likely get an offer. i really want him in this class but again he is another mlb at the next level and we already have minter who is in another league than this guy. hope that helps.

Probably get him to fill a need if we don't get our targets, which consists of Bostic, Mingo, Jones, Telfort.

This guy has an attitude...just saying

I watched him against WM and he had 2 personal fouls called against him in the game. He talked shite all night too.

Because he's a linebacker?

You don't need the typical linebacker to defend the spread. You need the Chad Jones type athletes. Look at Florida's backers.

Yes look at Florida's Linebackers. Does Brandon Spikes weigh 245+ lbs?

and the rest of them. He can't cover fast receivers or backs in space. Bet he can't catch or cover Harvin,Rainey, and Demps.

Is that sarcasm? Please tell me it is. Name one LB in the NFL/CFB that can run any of those players down from behind you just mentioned, much less cover them...wow...

I'm not even sure Patrick Willis could run those guys down from behind. What he was trying to say was we need LBs that are athletic/fast for the spread, more so than what we have obviously. They don't have to run a 4.4, they just have to be football fast. Brandon Spikes is a great example he used...

Kinda like Harry Coleman talkin' noise against Florida when down by 20+ points? Kinda amazing that he talks that much yet doesn't wrap up on tackles. He brings the haymaker once a game and continues to talk shite despite the situation.

Just sayin

Spikes is elite.. he is big, fast, defends the run and pass equally well, has great instincts and is a good athlete

we don't have guys like him

Doe is a baller too when healthy

we seem to have plenty of numbers at that spot (I'm counting on Mingo)... so if we go after another LB it better be quality IMO - guys like Bostic or Jones

I like Stewart better than Barrow, but it would be just settling to take either

Just to let you guys know:

We are looking pretty good with LB's for 2010 with Maclin and Killens, and even Welter. So I don't think we need to freak out about losing Jones...I didn't think we'd get him anyway...but I'm praying we still do

lsucoop, do you still believe Jones is a lock with these new developments? A lot of people as well as Rivals is saying that we are tied with or behind the other schools recruiting him because of our bashing of our defensive coordinators. The reason I ask is because you seemed to be close to the situation with recruits...at least that what you said in another thread.
