It certainly seems like the trajectory is heading towards another foreign war. Hopefully, that doesn't happen. I'm not sure how well humanity will fare in a ww3 scenario with the powerful weapons we have. And since we've already demonstrated how nukes can essentially end a war, no one will want to be the 2nd country to launch them.
I'm not one to get into all the fear porn, but it seems like if not a hot war, at the least we have another cold war seemingly on the brink.

I think we skip the cold part of war with China. I can't see us fully cutting off all economic ties because it would cause a supply shock in the USA. Probably will ramp up espionage though.
Japan and S. Korea have to be feeling squeezed a bit right now too.
