re: If this ends up killing the Bud Light brand, what is a comparable precedent?

i was on Bourbon last week and there were three old lesbos sitting at a table drinking Bud Light and stacking their cans as they finished, presumably to make some sort of statement. all i could think is that by doing that, they were actively harming the brand they thought they were helping.
