I'd love to hear how analytics are used in the draft process.

I mean forget about play calling and knowing when to go for on 4th down using analytics.

nah, give me a boots on the fricking ground breakdown of analytical use in player evaluation.

There are probably hundreds of analytics/models used by the 32 teams, from hybrid approaches (like what PFF does with grading) to purely analytical/data-driven models (like which college behaviors are more likely to lead to NFL success or success within the particular system).

There isn't one magical number that will be created to evaluate players/teams/prospects. It's always going to be creating as many efficient variables to give a larger picture. These variables aren't just analytics or even old-school scouting. Things like RAS or just physical profiles matter (the Saints would be idiots to draft Nolan Smith, for example)
