100%! Something I always try communicating in these Chicago threads. I understand many weekend visitors like to stay downtown, and it's a completely acceptable option for the museums, boat tour, etc., but exploring neighborhoods is such a good option - it's where everyone goes out to bars, restaurants, etc. Definitely the lifeblood of Chicago.

I’m taking my two teens there in May, will be our first time there. I love seeing neighborhoods in different places. Any specific recommendations? Obviously we can’t hit up the bars.
We are staying near the airport.
