Anyone old enough to have played MTPO in the late ‘80s was shocked by it.
It was a huge upset that more people heard about than watched. I had a similar feeling when Arizona State beat the frick out of Nebraska in 1996 (at the height of their invincible aura) when the game ended at like midnight. Nadal losing to Soderling at the 2009 French Open after perhaps the most dominant performance in grand slam history at the 2008 French is another one.
