Honestly one of the least impressive accomplishments in America now.

Is it? Is that why 34.98% of Americans over 25 had a bachelor's degree in 2018? Less than 27% in Louisiana? Giving them out like candy I guess.

i have a degree but now work in a field where it's not necessary (and make more money than when i was working in in the field of my degree). going to college and getting a degree is way better than not and to suggest otherwise is a massive cope.

What percent of people do you think should have degrees.

If you were to list all the jobs in your city. What percent of them require a degree. I bet it’s no more than 15%. Why would 70% of the people living in your city need degrees. There would not be enough degree required jobs for all of them.

A degree is fine if you want to be in medical field, some sort of engineer, finance, law, or to teach. And I’m glad their are people that do that. But I’m also thankful there are people that want to be plumber, electricians, hvac, mechanics, construction workers. There is nothing wrong with either path.

Where the problem is with people that work retail, fast food, convenience stores thinking they should make $20 hour.
