I would be pretty concerned. It's not normal. If an adult is seeking a romantic or sexual relationship with a minor, even if 16 or 17, there is something wrong with the adult. I wouldn't want my son wrapped up in that.

I got "abused" by a student teacher when I was in hs, there wasn't even a four year age difference, a year later at LSU I was expanding my horizons either further, fond memories
