Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500 RCE/VSS.
This is the first guitar I've ever owned with solid rosewood back and sides. I like it a lot. It feels almost exactly like my Frontier, just a totally different sound. Is it because of the wood? Or is it because of the different shoulder shape?
I just noticed, the bridge on The Frontier has a considerably larger footprint..pickguaed too.

I played a used one recently at a LGS and really enjoyed it. He had it priced at 500 and that felt like a steal. I wanted to pick it up but less than a month before I had bought an alverez masterworks dread so I couldn’t justify it so soon after lol.

Yeah, that would be a really good buy.

I haven't even seen one of those yet. How do the Masterbilt and Masterworks compare? About the same?

Mine is the rosewood back and sides with the Sitka top. It’s a lot of value for the money. Mahogany neck, Bone nut and saddle, laurel finger board and bridge.

The epiphone felt a little heavier over all to me, but that could be bc mine is non-electric, but I enjoyed the balance and neck of the epi, but I have a hummingbird pro that feels similar but a little smaller. All In all I wish I had picked it up for that price lol.

So it' almost the same materials as the Masterbilt.
