Ascension schools can pay teachers $5,000-$6,000 more

Early voted no, but given the number of families in LP, the tax will probably pass.
I really hope I'm wrong because local taxes are highest compared to neighboring parishes and spending is misdirected because an itemized budget for the monies is never created.

The bottom line is that the results of this election will have a huge impact on the quality of education that the students of LP will receive.
Cost per Student
Livingston Parish Schools - $15.3k
Catholic High BR - $12.7k
St. Joseph’s Academy - $11.7k
St. Michael the Archangel - $11.4k
Parkview Baptist - $10.7k

I live in a highly Red district. I get to vote for MTG. And we pass every tax hike that is proposed As long as it goes to the schools.
And they thank you when the school administration goes to the beach, or Disney, on a taxpayer funded vacation masked as a conference.
The local school district here ruined their claim for a need of a new tax when they cried about supplies and lack of money for sports and then they were busted doing that.
