Most of my mechanic tools are Snap-On. Twenty years ago I knew a kid that was taking auto mechanics class at a local community college, and Snap-On had a special discounted set for students ($1000 for a pretty complete set). I got the kid to buy a set for me. I would never pay normal price for them, but that was a heck of a deal.

I personally like Husky, Kobalt and GearWrench.

I never understood why people pay extra for name brand china made when harbor freight china made is so much cheaper.
