That season was the beginning of the end of the Dale Brown Era. Arguably the most talented collection of college basketballers in history; Dale Brown spent the whole season browbeatening and berating them in the lockerroom after the games.
They would have had MUCH more success as a team just doing what they did naturally, without Brown's collusion -- play basketball! It's mind boggling to consider Shaq was on the team for three seasons, and none of those teams made it past the round of 32!

They lost to GTech.
GTech had a 7 point halftime lead against the famous UNLV team that beat Duke by 30 in the title game.
