You can setup a trust/LLC, but dont have to. Those costs are minor as well.
Its literally the cost of the gun, most of them are expensive because there are a limited number of transferrable machine guns. Unless laws are changed, what is out there is it, the inventory is what it is.
So its literally the cost of the gun+$200.

This sounds cheap, seems like 20 years ago it was much higher?
Did the cost go down that much?
OR
Is the gun limited at the $200 dollar level?
Seems the Baw I knew had to pay hefty for his .50 cal machine gun from the Korea era back in the mid 80's and big part was the tax stamp.

And to think you used to be able to buy a Thompson via mail order catalog for like $90
