I will scrape off food scraps into trash or garbage disposal and do a quick rinse before putting it in the dishwasher. But it's usually not necessary to hand scrub it imo. If hand scrubbing is required then just add soap and it will be hand washed.

I agree with the comments about crawfish trays and large pots being much easier to wash in a single basin "farm house" sink.

And while we're on the subject, it's a SINK not a ZINK
