For you baseball nerds out there: what is the advantage of hitting it to the opposite side? Is it a timing thing to help with off speed stuff and fastballs?

Opens the whole field. Smash it where it is instead of where you want the pitch to be.

it really just means you are seeing the ball really well more than anything. A good hitter’s approach is always middle away.
