Well yeah. Contrary to the narrative there are a ton of Republicans who work in the VA and the Secret Service.
Just think about the average Secret Service guy. You have to be a pretty straight arrow type of person to even get in. Those types are usually conservative.

I work with a lot of NPS and FWS, especially after natural disasters, and most of them are republicans. I do wish there was a way to move departments out of DC. Having everything in one area doesn’t make sense to me in regards to national security.
