Why does it appear to be always the same demographic? (Kiddie diddlers and sex offenders)

Mental illness. I wonder if there is a study that could be done to find some commonalities to predict future behavior .

According to this study, only 20% of registered sex offenders are homosexual. 0.7% are transgendered. 96% of registered sex offenders are men, so it would be more apt to say men are by far the largest pedophile demographic.

It would be interesting to see a historical trend analysis of these stats.
Also, how are they determining whether the registered offender is a homosexual? Wouldn't they have to consent to indicate themselves as thus? After all, we can't prove homosexuality.

1. I wouldn't trust a law school for unbiased data.
2. I wouldn't trust a university for unbiased data.
3. I wouldn't trust a public entity in California for unbiased date.
4. Even with that, 20% is extraordinarily high for their contribution to the population.

There is a big difference between "appear" and "are" which is why I am both stating an opinion and asking a question at the same time.
By your logic then, couldn't it also be the case that there are in fact, a higher percentage of homosexuals on the registered sex offender list who have never publicly declared their sexual orientation? - hence my point about the scientifically unverifiable nature of one being a homosexual, e.g. blood, dna test, etc.

Absolutely. Self identifying studies will always have flaws. They reported that very weakness in their study. I thought you had some type of data to back up your claim. I see now it is just based on your feelings that LGBTQ people make up the majority of sex offenders/pedos.
