Combat vets are a small percentage of “veterans” taking up VA benefits/resources.

Would you agree that's an issue?
Get blown up, of course should be taken care of.
Drive supply truck, never firing a shot or being shot at?

Big difference in the two.

Great point. VA bennies/resources are disproportional.

Vets comprise two separate groups.

1) Combat vets and intimate support who've directly/indirectly experienced life-changing physical AND mental trauma (both injured and non-injured)

2) Back up, Reserves, Bureaucratic

The former have truly made incredible sacrifices and deserve the full Fugazy treatment and bennies

The latter have not "earned" anywhere near the Bennies they wound up receiving. (just like most bureaucratic gubmint "Lifers")
