Probably a faulty o-ring on the end of the filter. I've never had this problem buying generic filters, but I also checked to make sure things weren't leaking ten minutes after I installed them, not a weekend later.

I bet you accidentally pushed one of the o rings off the track on the filter.

Yeah, that is not on Samsung that is user error. Nothing personal, as its a common mistake. Good news is you dont have to replace the fridge or have it repaired. Lubricate the o-ring(s) on the new filter, make sure it is installed correctly and as previous poster mentioned, watch it for a few minutes to ensure there is a good seal.
