Brady's "15M" doesn't take into account all the other money he had already been paid. That's why his cap hit this year is $35M.

That $35M in dead cap means he was paid $35M more than what the Bucs had accounted for in their cap hits. This includes his base salaries (like what the article used).

So the cap hit means something now? With as much as we have manipulated the cap over the years that number is suppose to mean anything. Winston’s cap was way below 15 this year, so it goes both ways.

That poster thought 15 a year was low. About half the league QBs made less. That’s cash that they made with several making that on one year deals.
