Use regrid.com to get the owners name and the parcel ID to search your assessors website. You should be able to find the owner that way. Regrid let’s you look at a few properties before they require an account, but the account is free.

There might be a wrong assumption in some of these comments.
Just because a piece of property exists doesn't mean it has any insurance. Unoccupied houses are very hard to insure, if they have any insurance at all.
You may want to approach this as if the property behind you is derelict.
One possibility: is the land in back of your house a public right of way. Some subdivisions ran sewers, electric etc. all buried and not supposed to be planted on.
