With Nick Saban, it appears they are getting the upper hand on us. Its a great tribute to Saban that they are doing so well in only his 2nd year in Alabama. Alabama is not a great team talent-wise, only a good team. yet they are undefeated. Before his arrival, they were mediocre at best. Now they are no. 1 with only decent talent? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!!!!

He is a good coach and many of the players are really good players from the last coach.

Let's see in two more years what his record is.

If you look at it last year and the year before we lost almost all our games by a touchdown. Nick just gave us the extra touchdown and DISCIPLINE!! but after a few years of recruiting we may be = or ahead of yall as far as talent...depending on how yall do. heres to great games in the future!

STEAUXN1: take away a fumble into the endzone, and interception, a fumbled punt, etc. Anyone can play that game please don't pull that garbage.

if we wouldn't have played poorly, we would have won! Super logic.

Still, give them credit for not getting upset by inferior teams (like we did last year).

College football goes in cycles. When you lose a big enough chunk of your team to the NFL in a year it's always hard to not miss a step the next year.

LSU lost a ton of talent on defense last year. They'll lose a ton of talent on the offensive and defensive lines next year. That's what normally causes the problems. I think LSU will struggle a bit next year if Black leaves. However I think they'll be in great shape the following season.

Bama's defense should be better next year however losing the best players on the O-line and the QB will be tough to replace without a hitch. I'm not sure if the Bama defensive climb will make up for the losses on the O-line. I also think they'll be great the following season.

I'm not sure what to think about either team next year due to key losses. LSU loses a ton in the trenches. Bama loses very few seniors however they lose players in their biggest strength, O-line.

Two years from now I would think that you'll have two mean looking teams doing battle in BR.

Yeah, Shula underachieved based on the talent he recruited.

No, but ONE player did make the difference in this game.

How long do you think Saban's advantage with a senior QB vs Miles' redshirt QB will last?

They have taken over the #2 spot in the SEC West--nothing more.

If he don't get his NC this year it may be a few years. We'll be stronger next year, Florida and UGA will be ridiculous and if Lil' Nicky handles the Bama QB situation the way he handled Marcus Randall and Jamarcus then it will be at least another 2-3 years before Bama contends again. Anyone who thinks we were anything but lucky to get in in '03 is delusional. We had to wait on a freaking Boise St./Hawaii game at 3am to see if we got in.
