was browsing through fda calendar and this caught my eye. pdufa expected in april. initial thoughts from a doc's perspective, but i need to do more reading into the company.

its a microbiome therapeutic, Firmicutes spores aimed at preventing C.diff recurrence. C. diff is pretty brutal. basically immunocompromised and others who are on some antibiotics are at risk. it has a significant rate of recurrence and contributes significant mortality.

basically other options are fecal transplants...which may be less palatable for patients if there is a similarly effective non-fecal option.

bonus for Logistics/QoL benefits. nurses/custodians/docs along with the patient have to deal with the fallout from the super-diarrhea.

When I first saw the symbol, I thought McDonald’s took the Mc rib sandwich public
