I know it's anecdotal but every gay person that I have spoken to at length or know personally experienced trauma in their childhood. Mostly sexual abuse but other trauma including divorce, etc. Yes some boys and girls may be predisposed to being more feminine or masculine but their environment is really what pushes them. How do you think little boys or girls can really reason with themselves when they are called gay growing up, have family and friends coddling them, etc. These so called people who say they've always known they were gay are lying through their teeth. You didn't know shite when you were 4 or 5 years old.

Our identity is tied to childhood experience. I certainly believe if a child is raped or molested, its a potential death sentence, and strongly affects adult sexual behavior.
