Why don't we have Trindon (I know he can't catch but other than Bird who really can this season) set up wide right and Bird wide left with scoot and kieland in the back. And just let the WR run a hail mary route and hand off a couple of times switching who actually get the ball then throw one long just to confuse everyone. I think it would work. Tell me if you think it would or not and why? Be gentle, I never played and I'm new to this whole tiger rant thing. :dunno:

Good idea, but it definitely would not work because the result of the pass deep to Trindon would be...you guessed it --

INTERCEPTION

I think it would work simply because you have four allstars on the field at the same time that can do big things with the ball and must be respected forcing the defense to second guess themselves on where the ball is going to go and make them make a quick decision on whether to leave all the men with minimal coverage or cover one or two of the people they think will get the ball and leave the other 2 completely open. Plus you could run it a couple times then throw or throw a few times then run...and if the run is working it would allow you to mix it up without completely giving away what you are doing.

Why do people think Trindon can't catch? Has he dropped some balls this season that I'm not aware of. Love the kid! He's tuff and plays hard on every down!!

you got to think with trindons speed his height wouldn't be a factor after running 45-55 yards when the closes defender is behind him by 6-7 yards plus. If they get scared of the trindon pass then they will have to set up deeper to cover him and bird leaving the run open for kieland or the power run for scott

I meant it would be interception due to Lee. Not Trindon.

not saying he suck just saying that last season they were saying they didnt put him deep because he couldn't catch a high enough precentage of the passes thrown and with him still not going deep i only assume he hasnt improved

Lee struggles on passes in the middle of the field, short passes, passes in traffic, etc. The only pass he seems to have down is the deep passes along the sidelines. Maybe they should do this more.

I must say, it may be plausible to throw it out there away from all the defenders and just let him go run and get it. Still don't see it having that much success

i can respect the fact that you dont think it would have much success i was just curious ya know? Also think they should set trindon on the outside of laffel and bird as a safety net to take some pressure off lee...just let him throw it and if he over shoots trindon would be there to get it. then he would only have to worry about under throwing.

It couldn't hurt to try. If anything the corners would give a decent cushion on both sides and most likely have safety help over the top which leaves the flats and middle of the field open for the backs and Dickson

I think if you put Keiland and Charles in the backfield at the same time, it would give the defense something to think about. Byrd, and Trindon is a good idea.Dorsey etc. was right..those two would give space for Dickson to be open...if Lee would step in and deliver instead of the back-foot highschool stuff he does now...Why not try Trindon in that wild-cat wanna be stuff Crowton or who-ever tried in OT...I stiil think three times with Scott in OT would have got it done..when we block the FG you could feel Saban's butt pucker!

also could be useful with slip screens and reverses just not many mid range routes
