How can any sane person - now - support Trump over DeSantis?

I’m as MAGA as anyone, and I’m wondering if we should kick Trump out of the MAGA club.
I appreciate his effort, and the first 3 years of his presidency were the best of my life from a financial standpoint…but Trump has lost his damn mind.
Part of me thinks it would be hilarious for Trump to run 3rd party and destroy the current GOP, but I’m not sure I want to live through the fallout from that sort of scorched earth.

His attacks on Desantis are bizarre to say the least. There’s not a lot of upside considering Desantis hasn’t even declared yet.

DeSantis is running. just because you don't know it or refuse to say it doesn't make it not true.
What you few want is for Trump to not run. That's not going to happen. What you want is for him to not try to win....

Trump is proven, Desantis may be the man, but it’s a gamble with sending someone to Washington and the grinder. You know what you have with Trump; he’s the safer bet….

How is it counterproductive?
I keep reading this but am not sure why people think this matters at all. Trump has lashed out his entire career. Why should he change? He did a outstanding job running this country better than anyone including Reagan and we are going to revert back to mean tweets hurt my feelings. Such a soy boy world we are living in now. I say Trump probably knows more about Ronny than any of you and probably hasn't even gotten started yet. If you feelings are hurt now stay tuned.
