Advertising contracts are a smokescreen for control in all sectors.
You can't really isolate and quantify exactly how much that celeb being in that commercial brought to the business. Or having that adspace brought to your business. Anyways it isn't done that way. So anything is on the table and really it's a way to buy influence. This is all sectors and especially prevalent in silicon valley, a corp, NGO or government buys "ad space" on Google or fb, they're buying influence on the algorithm and the boardroom.
