Been looking at going down there for a few years.

House on the canals with a private pool is going for 150-200 a night. Seems really cheap. Almost too cheap but my kids usually spend 1-2 hours on beach and rest of the trip in the nearest pool. Anyone been dithers and how is it recovering from the hurricane?

Cape Coral is not where you want to go. Not bad and a couple good spots to eat and drink but go somewhere else until Ian destruction is lessened.

I love it down there but this year may not be the best. Our favorite beach, lovers key is closed indefinitely. I believe some of the sanibel beaches will be opening back up around March.

If you like to fish find a rental close to the river. It’s not touristy at all but can be a great relaxing vacation. Plenty of great restaurants as well

Yeah, we’re missing taking our dogs to Bonita Dog Beach at Lover’s Key big time.
