In this era of football with the transfer portal, rebuilds don’t hold up as much anymore. There’s a shorter leash by players. They will jump ship immediately. We live in a world where everyone’s attention span is almost nothing

They needed portal bad. Those CU players looked like golf and tennis players. Lol Yeah portal is just a quick fix and fill holes still need to recruit HS players.

Agreed. It sucks for him to not stay home. But, 10 months is a long time to go and keep him, and I do think winning 3-5 games will still not look good. The portal has changed everything. It's one thing to miss out on 5-8 in state kids that you really want, but if you miss out on one here and there, the portal makes it where it doesn't really matter. The possibility of adding a 4 or 5 star that was in a program with college tape is now a real possibility every year.
