If you have exhausted your search at the courthouse and established that the courthouse fire did in fact destroy the documents you seek, try calling and renting an abstract from an established title abstracter that has Plaquemines parish archives. Frawley, Wogan and Miller did a ton of work in that parish for exploration companies. Most title abstracts start from sovereignty so this may get you what you are looking for.
