you should definitely binge the movies to get yourself amped up before launch date. worth it.
not sure if it was this thread or the other, but I’d never seen the movies or read the books til my wife came along 7 years ago. I have enjoyed both and look forward to my children being old enough to appreciate the books

I watched the movies first, and liked them fine. Read the books, and really enjoyed them. But it kind of ruined me on the movies, particularly the first few when the kids are really young. I don't enjoy watching them at all anymore
