DeSantis doesn't have the baggage Trump has and doesn't alienate women and suburban voters. In fact, he badly outperformed Trump in the Florida suburban counties.

The attacks against DeSantis don't resonate with the majority of voters. The media has spent the last 2-3 years calling him a murderer and Florida a toxic wasteland. The result? DeSantis got nearly 60% of the vote and people from all over the country are flocking to Florida because of his policies.

Again, it won't resonate with the majority of voters. DeSantis isn't a dumbass who constantly says stupid shite which gives the liberal media the soundbites they crave. Because his brain is larger than the size of a walnut, he doesn't constantly fall into their traps.

The polls don't reflect that and neither does the data. DeSantis is much smarter and more articulate than Trump. The latter, coupled with his message discipline, allows him to convince the majority of voters that his policies are correct. Trump does not have the brainpower or the message discipline to do that.

Also, again, he has nowhere near the baggage. Suburban voters and wine moms aren't repulsed by DeSantis.
