I'm glad I'm not the only one. Gary does a great job of describing formations and why things worked or didn't work. He also does a great job of explaining penalties and what happened in areas of the field you can't see on TV. Yes, he has an arrogant tone and he says some odd things when he gets off subject. But he's still one of the best color commentators in terms of giving the viewer information about each play.

No offense, but when he is doing said descriptions I feel like I'm watching the fricking Super Bowl. Do you really need someone to explain what a screen is?
Or to make up what he thinks a player is doing/thinking? "I think he is saying Paper Champions"
fricking terrible.
