I think the claim-game should go like this:

1. Joe can claim both Ohio State and LSU. He got degrees from both schools. Loves both of them.

2. We as LSU fans can claim him becuase the program in a postion to start, play at an elite level and ultimately prosper in the NFL. He's shown plenty of love to us.

3. Ohio State fans can only put it as an asterisk, but can't outright claim his success in college was part of the Buckeye program. However, it is totally fine to still claim him as an "Ohio Man" that came back to save the Bengals.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that he still has a personal relationship with the coaching staff at OSU. He doesn't have that with the current staff at LSU. That being said I'm sure he considers himself a Tiger also.

Joey B didn’t see meaningful playing time in 3 years and Urban said he threw like a girl and was a D3 QB. Sure, he got a degree and his time in Columbus was a very important part of his journey, but he was developed and made into the QB he is at LSU. He isn’t a NFL QB without LSU. It’s pretty ludicrous for Ohio St to claim a QB who only attempted 39 passes in 3 years.

In reality, Twitter only represents 1% of the word. The consensus of competent football fans is not the same as what tOSU Twitter says. He’s definitely a Tiger. Says LSU in player intros, wears the bracelet and wore his LSU letterman jacket after the Bills game.

I bet he felt weird when he came back to LSU for the spring game and everybody he was with here was gone in the building.

Of course he is…welcome to the transfer portal…especially as a graduate transfer.
I went to uga for 2 years then transferred back to LSU
I don’t consider myself a Dawg. Cause I didn’t graduate from there..but if I did I would 100 percent say I am and still be a bigger tiger fan though

The same team who refused to play him. He had to leave to get a chance. He would not be in the NFL if he stayed at Ohio St

I'm happy knowing he was a bench warmer at ohio state. Maybe the coaches feel bad and he's trying to humor them a little?

Ohio State kept one the greatest college QBs on the bench for 3 years....

LSU started him, I rest my case.

This may be my own little conspiracy theory, but in the same way that he wore the Fiesta Bowl hoodie every day. I think he keeps the LSU bracelet on as a reminder/motivation that nobody at Ohio State thought he was worth getting the starting job.

Well, idc... we all know he's proud as hell to have been a Tiger. His bracelet, the fact I've seen him wear multiple LSU jerseys since ( even Chase's ) and mostly he's #9 not 10 as he was at state of Ohio the

He is and always will be a Tiger. While he has a osu degree, his head coach there never had him start a gMe and told him he threw like a girl. Pretty amazing considering even O saw the talent and leadership skills. The greatest season by a college QB is that of Joe Burrow-LSU, not Joe Burrow osu. That just eats at their craw.
