Song of the South, the film, has mainly animated animal characters but also has a group of children and a black man playing the fictional character of uncle remus. This is what he looks like in the movie



So he was depicted as someone living in rural America in the 1940s. Not really seeing how that depiction is an archaic depiction. It wasn't an archaic depiction from the time period that story was set.
