frick that a-hole. He is universally hated by longtime Atlanta Braves fans because of the shite he pulled with his contract when Hank Aaron was chasing the HR record.
He got it written into his contract that he would call every Aaron at bat until the record was broken. Genius move to be fair, but it cheesed off a bunch of fans who loved Ernie Johnson Sr, who was the primary PBP guy at that time.

Yeah, always heard he locked his partners out of the booth on the 715 call so he could have it to himself. Not sure if there is any truth to it but heard it more than once.
Hannigriff interviewed him once when he was here with an Astros caravan back in probably the 90's. His ego was on full display and one might rightfully wonder what he had accomplished to even flaunt an ego.
